About Us

Salam Network is a non-profit, Shia Ithan Asheri Islamic Organization established in the UK in 2024, Registration Number in England and Wales 1206496.

The main objective is to advance the Islamic religion in accordance with the principals of the Shia Ithna-Asheri faith in Greater Manchester for the benefit of the public through  holding of prayers, monthly family gatherings,  celebration of  religious festivals and offering services to meet community needs.

We collaborate with inter and intra-faith organisations to deliver events and services which benefit wider communities .  We strive to  ensure events are inclusive of children of all ages, elderly and those with special educational needs.

Saqib Shah – Founder and Trustee

I have been working in various roles with a varied experience in stock management, classified security, leading travel groups and  operational management. 

My passion is to serve community and those with limited access to services. I often volunteer as a carer. I have been working with several charity organisations to provide events, camps and social events. 

With my family, i initiated and hosted several local and nationwide initiatives to benefit families with young children, parents and elderly including those with special needs.

I am a founder of Salam Network to expand our work and services to wider communities and make it an inclusive environment for all.

Nosheen zahra- Co-Founder and Trustee

I am a full-time working mother of 3 gems. Graduate with MChem, working within healthcare sector. I am the founder of family inclusive Shia Islamic programmes for families in Altrincham with a group of like-minded individuals. I have collaborated with a number of regional and international organisations to deliver workshops, talks for youth and young children. I have successfully organised a series of fun, interactive, family focused events for local and wider communities bringing inter and intra-faith groups together. I am passionate about giving back to community via Salam Network.

Dr. A Askari- Co-Founder and Trustee

 I am a mother of two young children and a full professional working for NHS. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and reading. I research and prepare talks on Islamic material as well as in my professional career. I am focused on delivering a family inclusive and fun learning environment to our youth and contribute towards Salam Network

Nadia Zaidi- Trustee

I have 18 years experience of working in inner city schools. Providing social and emotional support, educational guidance and teaching GCSE and A-Level Psychology. 

I have worked specifically with young people from disadvantage backgrounds dealing with behavioural issues, SEN and EAL.

I am excited to be working with Salam Network to offer my expertise and support their vision to help families with young children.
